Walking for Softies - September - Titanic Quarter

Saturday 28 September saw the first walk of the new season. The Softies took the train to Titanic  and walked to the Titanic Quarter. It was a glorious Autumn morning.  We saw the SS Nomadic, also the Titanic and her sister ship The Olympic, marked out in life size. Finally we visited The Great Light – one of the largest optics ever built. It is 130 years old, weighs 10 tonnes and measures 7 meters in height. After all this excitement, we went to The Dock Cafe, where delicious scones and coffee/tea were enjoyed by everyone.
