Holy Week 2019 was the sixth time we have held our Prayer Room vigil. It began at 7:30 pm on Palm Sunday and ended at 7:30 pm on Holy Wednesday, after 72 hours of continuous prayer. People signed for a slot of at least an hour, with many staying for two hours, or even more. Some returned several times. There were many activities from which to choose. Amongst them were many Christian books and Prayers to read, listening to sacred music, a contemplative corner, both drawing and writing paper on which to write thoughts and prayers, pictures on which to reflect and many more. It was an oasis of peace in our busy world, and has proved a real blessing to our both our Parish and the local community.
